Field Trip Thursday: Pick-Your-Own Fruits/Vegetables at Farintosh Farms

All smiles in the sun ... who's there? Anyone missing? (Comment below!)
From Level 4-5 students and alumni, Xiaoying, Silvia, Edgar, Iris, Mahsan, Mehran, Pei, Wendy, Sara, Brenna, Nishi, Linda, Richard, Joyce John, Majid, Sutharsan, Max, Mahsa, and Niki
More pictures available in our FB photo album! Also, be sure to check out the amazing pictures at your classmates' blogs: Majid, John, NikiJoyce

Niki, Xiaoying, Max, and John are farmers for the day!

Isn't it great when the alumni join in? Do you see Mahsa, Sutharsan, Edgar, Sara, Mehran, Majid, Mahsan, Nishi, and Wendy?

What an amazing field trip it turned out to be, with two classes there and perfectly cold weather--in the teens Celsius--but we all got our fill for fun, fruit, and food (check out John's feasting on an earful in our FB site)! Thanks be to Almighty God for the sunshine, rain, and fertile soil that we enjoy in what was Upper Canada, what we now call the Province of Ontario!

For your report writing, here are some words that you may like to use:
pick-up/drop-off area ... car pool ... HOV lane ... barn house ... zucchini ... peaches ... eggplant ... corn on the cob ... eat it raw ... beans ... garlic ... green onions ... fields ... pick ... pluck ... pose for pictures ... candid shots ... horizon ... skyline ... tomatoes ... watermelons ... bushel ... windchill ... shiver ...

Pending good weather and car pool availability, we're headed back to Farintosh Farms for PIY on Thursday.

Hey, recognize any faces? Last September's delegation--happy campers, apparently!
Cars will leave the Don Mills Station pick-up/drop-off area at 9:30 a.m. Don't be late; try to be there by 9:15 a.m. Bring a nice big hat, sunglasses, sunblock, some water/snacks, comfortable shoes and clothing, a camera, and money to buy the produce.

Check out what your classmates said last year.
