
Those of you who have ever tweeted or used Twitter will know that a hashtag (#) is used to highlight and index topics of interest.
When this hashtag appeared this morning, it created some confusion: #nowthatchersdead
The topic could have been either
- #nowthatchersdead = Now that [famous singer] Cher is dead ...
or
- #nowthatchersdead = Now [former British Prime Minister Margaret] Thatcher is dead ...
Which was the right story? Who, in fact, died?
