In the ESL teaching profession, professionals will be meeting this Thursday and Friday at Sheraton Centre downtown.
Do people in other countries go to meetings to develop professional relationships?
Here are your tasks:
- From this list of meetups, make a list of 3 you would be interested in and 3 you would not.
- For each meetup, list the group name, cost, number of members, frequency of meetings, and one or two more details.
- Write a short text message to a classmate to recommend a group, stating key details and reasons for your recommendation.
- Learn the key vocabulary in this podcast: Not Getting Walked All Over
- Select a Text-to-Speech website to read it aloud.
- Finish the paragraph: "In professional relationships, my best experience was when ..."
- Use vocabulary words you learnt from the podcast, publish, and read your classmates' paragraphs!
