What are the full names of these Canadian pop icons: Avril, Shania, and Celine? Listen to at least one song by each on Youtube.com, and tell a partner which song you like the most.

Today, we start a new series on famous Canadians. As a new Canadian, you may wonder who are the most famous people among your countrymen. Try to think of the names of five famous Canadians, and tell a partner about them.

Here are your tasks:

2. Share your recommendations on your blog, and write your comments on your classmates' blogs.
3. Learn to spell the names of 10 famous Canadians.
4. Check out the latest reviews of Black Creek Pioneer Village's Christmas program. Read one of them out to a partner, correcting for any pronunciation mistakes, and publish your vocaroo.com recording of it on your blog.
