Thursday's Assignment

Good morning! Hope you enjoyed watching Passchendaele yesterday! In preparation for Remembrance Day, we'll be singing some of the music later today.

One hymn we didn't look at yesterday that was on the program sheet is:
Hymn: The Supreme Sacrifice
O Valiant Hearts, who to your glory came
Through dust of conflict
and through battle flame;
Tranquil you lie,
your knightly virtue proved,
Your memory hallowed
in the land you loved.

Proudly you gathered,
rank on rank, to war,
As who had heard
God’s message from afar;
All you had hoped for,
all you had, you gave
To save mankind –
yourself you scorned to save.
Amen

1. Feel free to practise singing this song of a core Canadian value, of self-sacrifice for God and for others:

2. Check out Canada's royal and national anthems and sing along on Youtube.com.

3. Sing along on the other two hymns as well, practising them on your second or third time with a partner. With confidence, feel free to make a Youtube video or Vocaroo audio of your duet.

4. Role Play with a Partner: Seeing a Specialist.

5. On your blog, briefly describe any differences between healthcare professionals and practices between Canada and another country. List the differences by clicking on the numbered list button above.
