Monday's Assignment and Field Trip on Wednesday to St. Lawrence Market

Welcome back to school! Hope everybody had a restful and fun time over the last couple of weeks.

First, please remember that our field trip is on Wednesday, September 11. We'll be leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Bayview Station. Please meet on the platform about 10 minutes beforehand. Bring a pair of good walking shoes, your camera, and some pocket money or snacks. You're free to bring along your neighbourhood as well. We're looking forward to learning about the history of our city and our country.

As a forecast, our second field trip of the month is scheduled for September 25, to Drummond Hill Cemetery, a key national site for the War of 1812 where one of the most bloody battles was fought. We hope to see other places while in that neighbourhood as well.

Here are the tasks for today:

1. Write a post about your vacation (not mine) or a six-sentence paragraph about schools not being necessary with distance education, with kids sitting at home.
2. Role Play: Staying Home from School
3. Research: Check out alternatives like Distance Education and Private Schools and discuss these with a partner.
