Honouring the Honest: Field Trip to Mirvish Village and Korea Town

UPDATE: Check out Chang's professional pictures on his blog!

Shawn, Javid, Susannah, Annie H., Lena, Vahideh, Yoo Lee, Ying, Chang, Lisa, Kole, Ding, Lily, and their kids hoping to "Payless For Every thing"
Surrounded by discount shops of every kind, some openly proclaiming "Payless For Every thing" in broken English, Honest Ed's warmly welcomed our class to its Mirvish Village/Korea Town neighbourhood. Some of us rode the subway together from Bayview, but others came on their own or drove over. Upstairs, downstairs, and into the basement we went, and some came out laden with all sorts of interesting wares--toys, batteries, glue, lightbulbs, and even a water-dispensing hardhat.

Those who could stayed for lunch. I hope everyone had a good start to the weekend!

Heat Alert? We Safely Are Holed Up in the AGO!

Tina, Basma, Ying, Judy, Susanna, Glory,  Chang, Lisa, Anna, Javid, and some of their kids all raring to go!

Funny picture! Why not, while waiting for three more.

Here they come! Lena, Katie, and Vahideh, the horned ones, finally show up.
While the city baked in the 32-degree heat, the bunch of us took cover in the depths of the Art Gallery of Ontario on a guided tour of all things beautiful. It was a good way to cap off our week of studying some of Canada's most famous artists--Krieghoff, Tom Thomson, The Group of Seven, and Emily Carr. Do add your comments below, or better yet, update your blog with your story about the field trip!
